After a career spanning more than 35 years working as both an illustrator and fine artist in various media, I am currently immersed in creating portraits of companion animals - the pets with whom we share our lives and homes. I am also committed to giving back a portion of the income I derive from the portraits to help support the care and welfare of animal orphans waiting for adoption, including the Menominee Animal Shelter
in Menominee, Michigan, Coppers'Dream Rescue
in San Carlos, California,The Animal Orphanage
of Voorhees, New Jersey, a no kill shelter, and to the RESPOND
Fund at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.
Through the RESPOND Fund, the School of Veterinary Medicine provides increased access to the specialty care offered by UW Veterinary Care for pet owners who have limited income. For clients who demonstrate financial need, the fund provides a one-time grant per animal to help offset the cost of care.
